2- I can not figure out where one discussion begins and another one ends in the comment section.

If I'm right, you will only see the first comment of a thread. To see the rest of the comments in a thread, I think you have to click the first comment, which will expand into the rest of the comments.

No, I haven't got a clue why this is somehow better than the last.

If there are enough posts for it, just click on VIEW ALL on the bottom of the page.

Look nest to a username to see if there's been any replies (its hard to see), and unless you do the first thing, some posts with pics will show up as empty.

Every kinja update has sucked suck. I still like the old style where you could go to a post then scroll on the right side for the other posts
